***BEAUTIFUL YOUNG YELLOW LABRADOR MIX**** Harlee is a young petite (35lbs)blonde lab mix possibly with chow, about 10most old. she was rescued with 2 of her siblings from a very bad hoarding situation in Anaheim, CA about 2.5 months ago. She was kept in a dirt enclosure with minimal human interaction, subjected to yelling and unstable human behavior. Harlee and her fur family were thrown food over a fence, didn't get fresh water and as a result is fearful BUT will earn trust with diligence, kindness, routine, and patience. (Read More)come so far and it's time for her to venture out of her familiar surroundings in foster care with her current foster mom who is a certified dog trainer foster, and find her forever. Harlee requires a calm and stable environment, with someone who is home most of the day, also who is active, goes on hikes, runs, or beach stolls. She will bond to her person, so I suggested adult female in her description however she is fostered with men, women, and children now and is fine with them. She will keep her distance until she knows you and trusts you, she is not aggressive, just fearful. In a new home, I would postulate Harlee will establish her trust with you in about 2 weeks. We are also looking for a foster to adopt situation with our beautiful Harlee. We will be involved with her care and training every step of the way if a longer term foster is able to work with us locally. During a foster-to-adopt, our rescue would cover all veterinary, food, and supplies. What is needed is proximity to Southbay of Los Angeles, Hermosa, Redondo, Manhattan Beach, Torrance or Palos Verdes, CA is also acceptable. Harlee's perfect person is calm demeanor, with patience to allow her to come to them, an experienced dog owner who has a soft spot for abused/neglected dogs. Someone who knows that Harlee will be the best dog she can be and work to earn her trust, someone who will dedicate time, activity, and training to her and someone who will love her like we do.
